the tangential relation between marketing and advertising has inadvertently resulted in media overstimulation. the thematic lament my work communicates is ultimately the malleability of human consciousness under the Bernaysian lens. my critique on modern marketing fundamentally raises a discourse on media prevalence and our ability to exercise "free-will" within our daily transactions.

flags have always been the primary modality in which nations have represented their respective lands' pride and values. however, such a positive portraiture often neglect the despairing realities. america is no exception. the symbolism and motifs aid in creating a sense of unified cause, but what happens when re-contextualize these already existing symbols to illustrate a narrative we would not normally see and experience?
